Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor will provide all equipment, fuel, lubricants, equipment repairs, insurance, transportation, labor etc. to accomplish the work specified herein. Contractor to perform spring, fall fertilization and weed kill treatments. Throughout all properties. Contractor will provide DCHA with a written schedule of weekdays that normal grounds maintenance work will be done at each property. Changes in the weekly schedule that are necessary due to weather conditions or other extenuating circumstances will be discussed with the property manager and an alternate schedule or temporary schedule will be created. On the day prior to regularly scheduled grounds maintenance, it will be DCHA staff responsibility to assure trash and personal items are removed from property grounds; however, prior to commencing work, the contractor will walk the grounds to assure no additional trash was left, or property will need to be removed to complete work. Grounds maintenance work will be done at each property on a weekly basis, unless directed otherwise by the DCHA property Manager, or other designated DCHA staff. Weekly grounds maintenance work will consist of: Mowing all grass areas to a height no less than 2-1/2” and no more than 3” and in a manner so as to avoid causing scalping on the turf, ruts, or other damage to the property grounds. Trimming around buildings, poles, fences, sidewalks, steps, road surfaces and similar areas. Weeding playgrounds and all planter areas during each mowing. Blowing or sweeping all clippings etc. from sidewalks, roadways and gutters and removing debris from the property. Blowing material such as clippings, leaves and dirt AFTER work has been done back onto the grounds is not acceptable. Monthly Hedge trimming at Villa, Center Court and Office Properties. Keeping hedges clean and orderly. Repair or replacement of sprinkler heads broken during mowing Contractor will be responsible for the repair and /or replacement of any damage done to DCHA property. If contractor is unable to make repairs in a satisfactory and timely manner (within Two weeks), DCHA will complete repairs and bill the contractor for the cost of the repairs.
