Specifications include, but are not limited to: Specifics for “Turf Grass Mowing” will be mowed once every week during the growing season, beginning approximately mid-April to mid-October of each year. The city will require mulching over cutting unless area is overgrown. Prior approval by the Lehi City Facilities Superintendent or designee is required before cutting at the beginning of the season. Exact dates of starting and ending will be mutually agreed upon by the contractor and Lehi City Facilities Superintendent or designee. Contractor shall perform a physical walkthrough, each week, of the area to be maintained before any work is performed to pick up garbage, remove unexpected obstacles like rocks, toys, etc., and to assess the safety of site. Grass shall be mowed to a height not less than 3” or more than 3.5”. All mowing equipment shall be equipped with sharp blades so as not to tear, but clearly cut the blades of grass. Turf shall be cut in a professional manner as not to scalp turf or leave areas of uncut grass. Care shall be taken to prevent discharge of grass clippings onto rock/mulch planters/areas or paved surfaces such as streets, curb and gutter, parking lots, sidewalks, walkways, and/or adjacent properties. Any material so discharged shall be removed immediately and properly disposed of prior to proceeding with mowing of other areas.
