Material Requirements: ½” CDX Plywood; Screws: 1 ½” drywall, deck, or sheet metal screws; 2 x 4 Lumber. Boarding: • The contractor must verify the structure is vacant prior to securing. • The contractor must check all openings and secure all openings. • Plywood should insert into the exterior window opening. • Screws are to be set into the wooden window frame or wood lintel and/or mortar joints 8” to 10”. • If window is intake and cannot be secured by locking the window, the window may be secured using only screws. • Doorway openings should be boarded to the same requirements as the window openings. • 2 x 4 Lumber to be used for framing of openings larger than 4x8.
