Specifications include, but are not limited to: BRIDGE EXPANSION JOINT RECONSTRUCTION • BID SHALL INCLUDE ALL LABOR TO CONDUCT THE COMPLETE REMOVAL OF EXISTING BRIDGE EXPANSION JOINTS FROM THE LIST PROVIDED • BID SHALL INCLUDE THE COST OF ALL DISPOSAL OF EXISTING BRIDGE EXPANSION JOINTS • BID SHALL INCLUDE COST OF ALL MATERIAL TO INSTALL NEW BRIDGE EXPANSION JOINTS • BID SHALL INCLUDE COST OF ALL LABOR TO INSTALL NEW BRIDGE EXPANSION JOINTS • BID SHALL INCLUDE COST OF ALL TRAFFIC CONTROL PERSONNEL AND DEVICES AS NEEDED TO INSTALL NEW BRIDGE EXPANSION JOINTS • THE RECONSTRUCTION METHOD OF THE BRIDGE EXPANSION JOINTS SHALL FOLLOW THE CRAFCO INC., MATRIX 501 ASPHALTIC PLUG SYSTEM (SEE ATTACHED – Crafco matrix 501 Data Sheet) • WINNING BIDDER SHALL ATTEND A DEMONSTRATION BY CRAFCO INC., ON JANUARY XX, 2024 (Location to be announced to the winning bidder) NOTES: • Contractor shall be sure that the existing bridge deck structure is not spalled up to where it would require reconstruction before the contractor can apply the MATRIX 501 ASPHALTIC PLUG SYSTEM. • Bridges cannot be completely closed and the lane closure hours shall be from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm (Monday - Friday). • Contractor shall comply with all of the affected NPDES requirements if it applies. (Conc work- wash out, BMPs at scuppers, etc). • Contractor shall install temporary striping/markers as needed and permanent striping/markers. Permanent striping/marker shall extend one hundred feet (100 FT) past the bridge on both ends. • Contractor shall follow and comply with the 2005 Hawaii Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction • Contractor shall follow and comply with HDOT Standard Plans • Contractor shall follow and comply with AASHTO Design Guidelines and Standards
