Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1. The Department of Parks and Recreation has a requirement for the repair and installation of trash booms at Smuggler’s Gulch. 1.2. Minor dredging and removal of debris is required to properly pull the trash booms out of the channel for proper repair. See limits of dredging and debris removal in Exhibit C. 1.3. Repair of existing thirty-nine (39) trash-capturing booms and anchoring systems. 1.3.1. Damaged components to be repaired per plans found in Attachment-1. 1.3.2. Length of 3/8” chain varies. Final lengths to match existing field chain lengths. 1.4. Contractor to re-install repaired trash booms to existing concrete blocks. 1.4.1. SOW may include the furnishing of brand new 3’x3’x4’ 4,500 lbs. concrete block(s) if the existing anchor ties are found to be damaged at bid time. 1.4.2. Contractor to ensure remaining anchor ties are not damaged. 1.4.3. Installation of trash booms to take place immediately upon completion of trash boom repairs. 1.4.4. The removal of trash booms from the channel needs to be completed no later than March 15, 2024, and placed next to the channel’s access road near the staging area.
