Specifications include, but are not limited to: Installation of new linoleum flooring throughout building. The Work is to be performed in three phases over the course of the 2024, 2025, and 2026 summer breaks for GSD. Abatement and disposal of the existing floor tile and mastic will be performed by GSD ahead of this Contractor’s work. Abatement may be ongoing while this work is performed. This Contractor will follow behind the abatement work by approximately 10 days and work only in areas that have been released by the Abatement Contractor. Each phase is described below: Phase I: Summer 2024. The northwest portion of the school will constitute Phase I, as indicated in pink on Drawing A001. (Note: This area has been labeled as Phase 3 by the architect.) The work is described on Drawings A103A “Phase III Plan – Area A” and A103B “Phase III Plan – Area B.” Refer to Drawing AF100 “Finish Schedules and Details” for detailed information on layout and patterns. The work includes, but is not limited to, all Science Classrooms, Prep Areas, Corridors, and other areas as indicated. Phase II: Summer 2025. The northeast, east, and southeast portions of the school will constitute Phase II, as indicated in yellow on Drawing A001. (Note: This area has been labeled as Phase 1 by the architect.) The work is described on Drawings A101A through A101E “Phase I Plan – Area A (B, C, D, E).” Refer to Drawing AF100 “Finish Schedules and Details” for detailed information on layout and patterns. The work includes, but is not limited to, the Choral Room, Dressing Rooms, Cafeteria, Corridors, and other areas as indicated. This phase will also include the Office Corridor Alternate, if selected, as described on Drawing A101F “Phase I Plan – Area F.” Phase III: Summer 2026. The south and southwest portions of the school will constitute Phase III, as indicated in green on Drawing A001. (Note: This area has been labeled as Phase 2 by the architect.) The work is described on Drawings A102A “Phase II Plan – Area A”, A102B “Phase II Plan – Area B”, and A102C “Phase II Plan – Area C.” Refer to Drawing AF100 “Finish Schedules and Details” for detailed information on layout and patterns. The work includes, but is not limited to, Classrooms, Corridors, and other areas as indicated. Alternates. The bidder shall include in the bid the costs for two alternates as described below. a) Office Corridor Alternate: Bidder shall provide cost for all flooring materials, installation materials, labor, equipment, General Conditions, and other appurtenances required for installation of the flooring in the Office Corridor described on Drawing A101F for Area F. If this alternate is selected, flooring materials shall be included in the purchase of the flooring for the Base Bid to ensure consistent color and availability of product ahead of installation in this area. This alternate may be selected if materials specified are not available or are substantially different from those already installed in this area of the facility. On the Bid Form, breakout cost of flooring materials separately from all other materials, general conditions, etc. for this alternate. b) Material Storage Alternate: Base bid shall include costs, if any, for Contractor to store Phase II and III flooring materials in Contractor’s warehouse over the duration of the Project. Bidder shall include deductive cost, if any, to store flooring materials at a GSD facility in lieu of Contractor’s warehouse.
