Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project includes the expansion and conversion of the existing St. Joseph Energy Center Water Treatment Plant (SJEC WTP) to a potable facility to support the requirements of the GM Development Agreement. The Phase 2 portion of this project includes the installation of three new horizontal pressure filters, two new groundwater wells, one new high service pump, and all associated electrical/HVAC equipment. The Phase 3 portion of this project includes the installation of three new horizontal pressure filters, two new wells, and all associated electrical/HVAC equipment. It is the intention of St. Joseph County to have all Phase 2 work under contract completed and operational by December 31, 2024 and all Phase 3 work under contract completed and operational by Summer 2025 to meet the requirements of the GM Development Agreement.
