Specifications include, but are not limited to: The DOE is requesting multiple different options for classes and training for this pilot project. The goal is to educate as many members as possible to respond to emergencies. This can be accomplished through both traditional and untraditional courses all while maintaining costs, labor, and overhead. The Offeror must show they are able to: 1. Create a curriculum of easy to learn CPR in a session that will be able to be taught in a one classroom session format. No more than 30-45 minutes 2. Create and support student led CPR sessions that can teach other students in a fun and interactive session which includes hands on skills. 3. Schedule instructor courses that can be taught to both students and teachers to empower the knowledge and skills needed to teach others. a. Instructor courses that teach simple curriculum can be taught in one classroom session. b. Instructor courses that teach students and teachers to become AHA instructors can be taught over a 4-day course during school vacation breaks. c. A minimum of 10 instructor courses must be offered during the pilot program period. Example: Eight 1-day courses and two 4- day courses. d. At least one short instructor course at each pilot school and two 4-day courses for all legible candidates to attend. Must be at least one 4-day course on Oahu and one on a neighbor island. 4. Some students and teachers may request traditional training that offer course completion cards so the Contractor must be able to issue American Heart Association course completion cards directly to students. a. During this pilot project, the Contractor must be able to offer 100 AHA course completion cards, books, and videos per pilot school. b. Contractor must be able to supply the above student manuals for any course requiring said books. c. Course completion cards and student books/instructor manuals will be included in contract fees. 5. Schools served under this agreement shall be determined by the Contract Administrator in collaboration with the Contractor. In the event of a conflict, the Contract Administrator shall make the final determination.
