Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project is located at The Ohio State University at Newark which shares a campus with Central Ohio Technical College in Newark, Ohio. This project is cost-shared between OSU-Newark and COTC. The scope will include a renovation of approximately 6,420 square feet within Evans Hall located at 1000 Sharon Valley, Newark, Ohio. The interior space will need to be re-programmed to meet the needs of OSU-Newark and the COTC Public Safety training program. This renovation will allow for the students to learn hands-on tactical training, as well as house necessary equipment to perform daily public safety duties. The mechanical and electrical systems will need to be upgraded. The exterior scope is to include new landscaping, expanding existing parking areas, and site lighting. The budget listed in this RFQ indicates what is currently approved for this project, and additional funding may be added in the next Capital Plan. The Architect/Engineer (āA/Eā) will prepare the POR as an Additional Service. The Program will define the requirements for staff offices, student classrooms, armory storage, and a tactical training area.
