Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.1.1. The contractor shall provide Glass Beads Type L on an as needed, if needed basis for the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission (MHTC) and Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) (together MoDOT), in accordance with the provisions and requirements stated herein. 4.1.2. The contractor shall provide glass beads to the sole satisfaction of the MoDOT. 4.1.3. MoDOT reserves the right to award multiple contracts in order to acquire the quantify of glass beads needed for its operations based on availability and price offered by each contractor. a. Delivered throughout duration of Contract Period (Beads can be taken all year...not just in "Peak Season") 4.1.4. MoDOT estimates, but does not guarantee, the purchase of the estimated quantities stated herein. 4.1.5. MoDOT will place orders based on need in any given week during striping season. MoDOT will coordinate with the contractor weekly where loads should be delivered, based on district inventory levels and contractor supply availability. The peak usage for Type L beads is typically during the months of June, July, and August. Typically orders will be distributed evenly among the seven (7) districts. a. A normal load of beads shall be defined as, 22-2,000 pound bags or 44,000 pounds 4.1.7. Unless otherwise specified herein, the contractor shall furnish all material, labor, facilities, equipment, and supplies necessary to provide the glass beads required herein.
