Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide the supplies, equipment and labor for the installation of Safety and Security Film. The District’s standard of safety and security film is the Ultra Safety films S800, the Ultra Prestige S70, Ultra Night Vision S25 and 3M Impact Protection Adhesive, all manufactured by the 3M company. The family of films includes Shatter resistance, IR-rejecting, solar control, clear window films designed to be applied to interior window surfaces to hold broken glass together and reduce solar heat and ultra-violet light. Contractor must be a certified installer and dealer by 3M before bid due date. Contractor must comply with all installation requirements that 3M requires. Substitutions are not permitted. The District anticipates various needs throughout the term of the contract. The square foot price will be used to price each project at the time of the need. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to inform the district if the film requested is not recommended for a particular application. The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will determine the work schedule and will coordinate between the contractor and the school principal. It is the contractor’s responsibility to dispose of all materials, clean up chemical spills, etc. at the end of each working date and upon completion of the project. All debris shall be removed from job site and disposed of off-site. Contractor must follow all applicable regulations while on District property including no smoking, no weapons and drug-free policies. All permits required must be provided by the contractor. The contractor must supply any SDS sheets prior to the application of any chemical. The contractor must warranty materials and workmanship for 15 years against defects after completion of work. Any defects from fault materials during the warranty period must be repaired or replaced at no cost to the district. The contractor must offer customer service and technical support. The bidder must be in business for at least 3 years prior to bidding, thus having a minimum of 3 years of experience relating directly to the above listed specifications. Prior to the award of a contract, any bidder may be required to show that they have the necessary experience, facilities, ability, and financial resources to perform the work required in a satisfactory manner. Three (3) references are required.
