Specifications include, but are not limited to: Sole Source Justification: The provision of quality assurance (QA) services is one of several components of a strategic collaboration/partnership our organization initiated in 2018 following a decision made by Department leadership to align based on M&A occurring in the eye bank profession. While there are other domestic eye banks operating and employing QA staff, no eye banks offer QA services outside their own organization. The collaborative services agreement includes a scope beyond the provision of QA services. Namely, tissue distribution and processing services. Our organization provides transplant corneas and surgical processing services to VisionGift in order to assist their organization meeting demand.
