Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Developmental Disabilities is looking for a secure online application, with a communication platform, and access to online person-centered tools to support people with intellectual developmental disabilities (I/DD), their family members, and support persons. This application would be able to be branded specifically for the State of Ohio and allow for targeted direct communication and information sharing with applicable Ohio audiences. The Charting the LifeCourse (CtLC) Resource Expansion project looks to utilize technology to enhance the connection and communication of people with I/DD, their families, and support persons while supporting the utilization of Charting the LifeCourse principles and tools. The CtLC Resource Expansion project results are expected to include: • People with I/DD, as well as their families, being able to indicate greater confidence and more optimism for their future. • People with I/DD, as well as their families, being able to report enhanced connections with other people and opportunities to build greater community. • People with I/DD, as well as their families, being able to report greater access to information and feel more comfortable with life planning. • People with I/DD, as well as their families, indicate the enhanced access allowed for additional participation in knowledge sharing. The Department of Developmental Disabilities is requesting proposals for an existing web application with a communication platform, that can be customized with an Ohio focus, to support people with developmental disabilities and their families to plan and achieve the lives they desire. 1. The application must allow for co-branding with the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. 2. The application and communication platform must have simple and accessible usability, login, instructions, etc. 3. The application must allow for DODD to define content specific to the State of Ohio and Ohio families and people with I/DD. 4. The application must offer a direct channel for communication between DODD the people it supports, as well as individuals with I/DD who are not in services but could benefit from the content. 5. The communication platform must allow for engagement and collaboration among families and people with developmental disabilities.
