Specifications include, but are not limited to: Street improvements project (163rd Ave from Pat Tillman Blvd. to Jomax) located along 163rd Ave in the City of Surprise, Maricopa County, Arizona. Roadway improvements include additional lanes, water, sewer, traffic signals, curb and gutter, median, lighting, sidewalks, landscaping, and drainage improvements. Drainage improvements consists of box culverts, scuppers and catch basins with retention basins to drain the new roadway along with new offsite channels to convey onsite roadway and offsite runoff. The project also includes extending the existing box culverts at the Happy Valley Road and 163rd Ave. intersection as well as extending the existing box culverts at the Jomax and 163rd Ave. intersection. The property consists of the City of Surprise right-of-way (ROW), the City of Surprise property, privately owned lands and adjoins BNSF and ADOT ROW along State Route (SR) 303 at the US 60 Grand. This will improve traffic flow, safety, and drainage issues around this area and improve traffic congestion along this major route that is accessing some of the fastest growing areas within the City
