Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University is looking for a third party which specializes in student information systems, specifically Ellucian Banner, to conduct a current state assessment of the University’s SIS program, to include but not limited to the following topics: • Provide an in-depth review of general state of student information systems and a forecast of what the industry and offerings are expected to look like over the next ten years. • Assess the future utility of the current SIS system, considering technological advancements, scalability, and alignment with institutional goals. • Provide a roadmap and strategy for Clemson to best utilize the existing SIS (Ellucian Banner) system, including key decision criteria and steps for evaluating any changes. Vendor should also propose a scorecard that Clemson can use to systematically evaluate proposed enhancements and system changes. The vendor should factor in product roadmaps for Ellucian and other providers where appropriate. This in-depth review should also: • Factor in best practices for R1 higher education institutions. • Factor in staffing levels and staff alignment, operational considerations, and level of effort involved. Additionally, the chosen vendor must: • Evaluate the current staffing levels, roles, and organizational structures supporting the SIS program, across all functional and technical teams. • Assess the effectiveness of the current support mechanisms and practices in place for the SIS system. • Examine the current governance structures and processes surrounding the SIS system. • Identify areas for improvement in staff resource allocation and structure. Develop, if necessary, staff augmentation strategies to enhance SIS system functionality and support.
