Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Arrange forklift use from GSD Grounds Department, dump scrap metal hopper bins into large dump truck or trailer with sides at three high schools. 2. Take scrap metal to Nucor who weighs the metal, removes metal from truck/trailer. 3. Nucor loads new flat iron metal onto a 20’ flatbed trailer. This metal is typically ¼” x 5” x 20’ flat iron and is of the same weight as the scrap weight. 4. Traveling 97 miles (each way) from Salt Lake City to Plymouth, UT with the scrap and returning the new product that is properly secured at all times. 5. Deliveryingnce metal has been obtained it will need to be delivered to each of the three high schools, Granger, Kearns and Taylorsville. Frequency: 1 haul per school year. This will occur typically at the beginning of a calendar year and is to be coordinated with the district CTE coordinator.
