Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Lawn Service Requirements i. The contractor must furnish all personnel, labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and services needed to complete all work required to comply with the property maintenance code for the properties as assigned. Must have equipment that can get through gates of thirty (30) inches or wider. It is the responsibility of the contractor to maintain all equipment and supplies in good working order and repair. ii. Contractor must remove all trimmed grass and clippings from any roadways or sidewalks by air blower, rakes, or other means. iii. Contractor must remove all yard waste including brush, timber, limbs, and clear any vegetation exceeding twelve (12) inches in height from the assigned property before considering the job completed. iv. Jobs will take place, Monday through Friday (business days), 7:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. CST. Job services may occur outside of this specified time and day schedule with the consent of the Property Maintenance Unit Manager or their designee. v. Contractor must complete accepted jobs under the resulting contract(s) within ten (10) business days upon email notification from the Property Maintenance Director or their designee. Except in the case of a warrant, in which the Property Maintenance Unit will make direct contact with the contractor and schedule a time within the week to complete the job. If the lowest bidding contractor is not available, the next lowest contractor will be contacted, and the ten (10) day timeline begins for the re-assigned contractor to complete the work. vi. The contractor must submit their bid on the bid form provided for the fee amount per half (1/2) acre. For increments of a quarter (1/4) acre over the first half (1/2) acre, the City will pay and additional $50.00 each. (example: Bidder bids $75 for ½ acre. actual lot size is .75 acre. 75 + $50 = $125 for the job) vii. The contractor must submit their bid on the bid form provided for a percent increase related to properties that exhibit vegetation higher than 36 inches. (Example: Bidder will enter $75 per half acre and 20% as their fee for property over 36 inches tall. This means the total cost for a 1 acre property is $150, with an up charge of 20% if the grass is over 36 inches – the fee will calculate $150 x 20% = $30 additional dollars for the property and the total fee will be $180)
