Specifications include, but are not limited to: a) It is expected that the majority of the sign work will take place between January 2024 and January 2025 b) This is a unit price bid and the standard sign panel size for pricing/bidding is to be 59.75 inches by 42.95 inches. c) The sign panel will be ACP (Aluminum Composite Panel) with a vinyl “antigraffiti laminate applied prior to installation. d) All sign panels will be attached to the posts via 1” x 1” aluminum angle iron painted black to match the black plastic post sleeves. e) Sign panels will be backed by ¾” plywood that is primed and painted green to match the green vinyl sign color. This wooden plywood will need to be routed carefully to match the final ACP shape. f) The Contractor shall utilize 8’ long, 4” x 4” pressure treated and unpainted Southern Yellow Pine wooden post to install the sign panel at park locations chosen by the Louisville Parks and Recreation Department. g) Contractor shall encase the wooden post with black plastic sleeving and decorative “New England Style” black caps. (See Detail Sheet) h) The Louisville Parks and Recreation Department shall be responsible for choosing the exact installation location and preparation of the site and the removal of existing plants or obstructions prior to Contractor performing work. i) Contractor will be responsible to set the wooden post into the ground and backfilled with concrete to a minimum depth of 24 inches. The post hole will need to be a minimum of 8-10” in diameter. (Note: Plastic Sleeve will extend below ground level with post) j) Contractor will be responsible for the design and layout of all signs using graphic standards established and shared by Louisville Parks and Regulations.
