Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The intent of this Agreement is for the Contractor to remove and haul away existing carpet tile, baseboards, and transition strips; clean, skim coat, and prepare floors; and install Shaw carpet tile (or similar) using the Shaw Advantage System (or similar) including walk-off carpet tile near public entrances, rubber baseboard, and transition strips for the EDD-owned facility located at the above-referenced address in accordance with these Specifications. A. SITE WORK: The following are examples of the types of work the Contractor will be required to complete during the course of this Agreement. It is not intended to be “all inclusive.” 1. Measurements – Carpet Surface Area • Verify actual square footage. The square footage of this facility is 14,143. This footprint includes both hard and carpeted flooring. The carpeted area is estimated at 11,000 square feet. 2. Removal/Hauling • Remove and haul away to an offsite location existing carpet tile, baseboards, transition strips, materials, waste, debris, and other necessary rubbish. 3. Preparation • Clean, skim coat, and prepare floors for carpet tile installation. • Ensure uneven subfloor is smooth. 4. Equipment • Supply and operate Shaw Advantage System (or similar). 5. Modular Systems Furniture (MSF) • Elevate and lower all Modular Systems Furniture (MSF) for the carpet installation per industry standards. Contractor shall provide reparations to any MSF, equipment, item, property, or surface caused by elevating, lowering, or the installation process. Computers will remain on the work surface of the MSF. All loose desktop items will be removed by the EDD. • Align MSF back in its original location upon completion of each day’s work. The MSF must be symmetrical. Walkways should have the appropriate width.
