Specifications include, but are not limited to: Services shall be performed on an as needed basis at dates mutually agreed upon between the Contractor and the CDCR Contract Liaison or designee between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (hours may vary per location), Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Upon first notification by telephone or email from the CDCR Contract Liaison or designee, the Contractor shall provide services within forty-eight (48) hours of the request. In the event the Contractor is unable to provide services within forty-eight (48) hours, the Contractor shall use a subcontractor to meet the needs of the State. The Contractor shall remove Sub Class B semi-dry and dry sewage sludge from the CDCR wastewater treatment plant and haul it to a permitted re-use facility. Sludge consists of domestic sewage (settable and floating solids) from an aerobic and/or anaerobic digester. The Contractor shall designate hauling procedures and permitted re-use. The Contractor shall provide proper transportation vehicles (sealed and covered) to prevent or mitigate odors, spillage, and loss during transport, and provide all equipment necessary for loading the vehicles. The Contractor shall clean up the loading and hauling site at the CDCR wastewater treatment plant upon completion of services, per the direction and approval of the CDCR Contract Liaison or designee. The Contractor shall have an on-site supervisor present for the duration of the hauling period. As a condition of waste discharge requirements, sludge removed and disposed from liquid waste shall be in a manner that is consistent with Chapter 15, Division 3, Title 23, of the California Code Regulations (CCR). The Contractor shall provide the workers and equipment necessary to turn the bio-solids to optimize the drying process and to meet class B sludge standards, which shall be included in the rate specified on the Exhibit B-1, Rate Sheet.
