Specifications include, but are not limited to: Specification For Exterior High Density Overlay (HDO) Plywood - All softwood plywood shall conform to the latest edition of the Voluntary Product Standard PS 1, Group1, and each panel shall have an American Plywood Association (APA) Grade-Trademark. Plywood shall be 1/2" thick, Exterior HDO-Industrial B-B (Douglas Fir), plugged core (Douglas Fir) (Core gaps not to exceed ½”). This material must be suitable for sign manufacture and overlay must be compatible with the adhesive of reflective sheeting’s. The overlay on both faces must be prepared at the time of manufacture so that removal of the release agents (sanding, solvent wiping) is NOT REQUIRED prior to application of reflective sheeting. No marks, blemishes or damage of any kind will be allowed. No shop grade plywood will be accepted. Plywood is NOT to be edge sealed. Prior to award, successful bidder will be required to submit a certification that their product meets these specifications, and may be required to submit a sample for approval.
