Specifications include, but are not limited to: The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR)/California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) requires On-Site Confidential Document Shredding Services as defined in the Sample Contract. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, including travel and per diem, materials, non-consumable supplies, transportation, equipment, and every other item of expense necessary to provide On-Site Confidential Document Shredding Services. The Contractor shall perform on-site confidential document shredding services for paper and paper-related materials, including, but not limited to, paper, paper clips, staples, sticky notes, glossy paper, no carbon required (NCR) paper, fax paper, CD’s, floppy disks, binder clips, and hanging-file folders. The Contractor shall ensure all documents are cross-cut shredded to an unrecoverable dimension no greater than 3/8” x 1” pieces or to an irregularly shaped particle with a diameter of less than ¾”. All materials shall be handled by the Contractor in such a manner as to prevent loss or unauthorized inspection of documents at any time, including making it impossible to recognize or reconstruct information such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, social security numbers, and any other sensitive information. All shredded materials must be disposed of by the Contractor.
