Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of this work will include the installation of an Islandora 2 instance along with training of library personnel from the Library's Digital Scholarship and Initiatives, IT, and Metadata Services departments with regards to configuring Islandora and its collections to include creating, uploading, editing, and deleting digital collections metadata and objects. Also included in the scope is customization of our instance to fit ISU's unique institutional context, following the specifications listed in this document. Where available, ISU will prefer solutions that are already available within the Islandora community. However, if functionality that does not already exist is developed for our context, we expect it will be shared, where applicable, with the Islandora community under an Open-Source license. Not included in the scope of this RFP is the system-to-system migration of our digital collections from our current Islandora Legacy version to Islandora 2; ISU will manage the data ingestion into Islandora 2 independently. ISU's new Islandora 2 repository will house approximately 24,000 objects (including compound objects and metadata-only records) across 93 collections, with intention to grow.
