Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The Contractor (hereinafter, the term Contractor shall refer to the firm of award) shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to maintain the lawns and surrounding areas at the following campuses: Abner Creek Academy, 2050 Abner Creek Rd, Duncan, SC Abner Creek Middle School, 221 Gin House Rd. Greer, Sc 29651 Tyger River Elementary School, 2653 E. Wade Hampton Rd. Duncan, SC 29334 2. Lawn maintenance functions required include: mowing grass (excluding athletic fields), edging and weed trimming, blowing debris off driveways, walkways, and entrances, and spraying/removing weeds from flower beds and parking lot islands. (Tree/hedge pruning and mulch replacement will be performed by the District, and/or by contract addenda.) 3. The District anticipates twenty-five (25) services at each location annually. The Director of Maintenace The District reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of cuts based on the weather conditions. 4. All facilities are to bid on separately, per the bidding schedule. The District would prefer for one vendor to handle all three locations, however, we reserve the right to award by location to multiple bidders. 5. The District reserves the right to terminate this contract with a bidder due to unsatisfactory performance. The District also reserves the right to negotiate the movement of grounds services to other firms should an awarded firm be unable or unwilling to meet the requirements. Movement of grounds services from one contractor to another will be negotiated through the Procurement Officer. 6. The Contractor must assume full responsibility for removal and environmentally appropriate disposal of all lawn debris. 7. The Contractor shall work with District and school administration to schedule service in order to prevent disruption of student learning and school activities such as arrival, dismissal, recess, state testing and special events (field day, etc.). 8. The Contractor warrants to the District that all services performed as a result of this bid and specifications will be performed in a professional manner consistent with industry practice. 9. All Contractor personnel working in or around buildings designated under this contract shall wear distinctive uniform clothing. The Contractor shall determine the need for and provide the safe performance of work. Vehicles used by the Contractor shall be identified with company name. 10. The Contractor shall observe all safety precautions throughout performance of this contract. All work shall comply with applicable school safety and health requirements, as well as all OSHA industry safety regulations. Where there is a conflict between applicable regulations, the most stringent shall apply.
