Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected operator will be responsible for the operations listed below. The Operator will be paid for each operation once completed. There is potential that research plots will be conducted on site. This could result in various planting and harvesting times, meaning operations for planting/harvesting/spraying could be done at various times and not all at once. Payment will be based on the cost stated under the Line Items Tab. Note: If additional operations are required, Owner may or may not use operator to complete work, depending upon the nature of work. These additional operations, at times could be small plots or various other work, 20 acres or less, that require disking, chiseling, etc and would need to be done with 48 hours’ notice. Pricing for additional operations not stated, will be determined from the ISU Custom Rates Average of the year of operations. Planting Operation: Corn Acreage: 112 acres. Planting Date: Completion by May 10 weather and field conditions permitting. Soybean Acreage: 112 acres. Planting Date: Completion by May 15 weather and field conditions permitting. Corn and soybean crops shall be planted to meet conservation compliance in 30-inch row spacing. Note: Soybean row width may be narrower. ISU will provide all seed and other inputs. The planter(s) should be able to plant plateless grades of seed corn at a seeding rate of 32,000 to 36,000 plants per acre. Soybeans will be planted at a rate of between 130,000 to 175,000 plants per acre. Corn and soybean planters shall be equipped with a monitor. Seed must be removed from planter after planting operation is complete.
