Specifications include, but are not limited to: Request for Proposals (RFP) which the Trustees will issue to the shortlisted firms. A technical review committee shall review the respondents’ SOQ and, based on the criteria identified in the RFQ, the committee shall select no more than three (3) finalists to receive the Request for Proposals. Selection of the winning Proposer will be based on qualifications and proposed fees (a design competition is not utilized). Collaborative Design-Build is a two-phased delivery process: Design Phase and Design-Build Phase, and the Trustees will issue a separate contract for each phase. Project Description: The Project consists of: renovation of 180,000 GSF of the existing USU building (includes 160K SF of indoor area and 20K SF of outdoor covered walkways & seating areas) and the construction of an approximately 50,000 GSF addition. Key programming elements to the renovation/addition include: • Food Service – new vendor & support spaces, dining & seating areas. • Basic Needs – community kitchen & support space, Beach Pantry. • Wellness Center – private & group rooms, relaxation & reflection spaces. • Cultural Resource Centers, Student Orgs & Clubs – group & collaborative workspaces, small meeting rooms, event & general storage. • Career Center • Office & Administration – student government, tenant spaces, communications & support, staff breakroom. • Social & Lounge – informal gathering & study space, in-between spaces, family lounge space • Recreation & Entertainment – including new eSports & media/communications space. • Event & Meeting Spaces – ballroom, various sized event/meeting rooms, ASI senate chambers, storage & support.
