Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Alaska Department of Education and Early Development, Division of Finance and Support ā Child Nutrition, USDA Commodity Program is requesting rates for shipment of commodity food products from the Seattle/Tacoma, Washington area to Recipient Agencies in Alaska. Schedule Iā Drop Point Rates: Commodity food items will be sent to only thirteen (13) communities in Alaska. Further transportation to Recipient Agencies beyond the drop point communities is at the Recipient Agencies request and expense. Quotes on this schedule are only to the 13 drop points. See Attachment A. Contractor may select preferred third party carriers to the 13 drop point communities; however contractor will be provided a list of preferred contract carriers provided by the Recipient Agenciesfor delivery outside of the drop points by July 1, 2015. Drop point locationsshould be fully utilized to reduce recipient agency expensesfor further transportation. Contractor is responsible for payment to the selected third party carrier for delivery of products.
