Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1 Provide three new packaged rooftop air conditioning units on an outdoor slab to replace (5) split system units. The new equipment shall meet or exceed the performance of the existing systems and meet all project specifications. Unit shall be 100% run tested before shipping. 1.2 Vendor is to supply all the equipment and materials. Vendor is responsible for the final integrity, functionality, and operability for the three new air conditioning systems including all installed components. 1.3 Vendor to verify the dimensions of the existing installation. Vendor is responsible for connecting new equipment to existing supply air (SA) and return air (RA) duct system and providing new ductwork as needed. Vendor shall provide new duct smoke detectors, fire stats, and any other components that will be demoed with the split system equipment and ductwork. 1.4 Vendor is to verify the sequence of operation for the smoke removal dampers and provide any new dampers that are needed for the proper operation of the smoke removal system. Existing smoke detectors and firestats shall be replaced by new detectors located in new PAHU’S or adjacent duct work. Smoke removal fans SR-1 and SR-2 are connected to the return air duct at the far end of Cell Blocks 1 and 2. These two smoke removal systems have been operating as needed and the vendor’s responsibility should be limited to verify instrumentation remains connected and functioning. Smoke removal fan SR-3 is connected to the return air / outside air plenum just upstream of the existing AHU-5. Demoing of AHU-5 will require some duct modifications and new dampers are required.
