Specifications include, but are not limited to: a) Approximately 8,000 - 9,500 tons of grindable material per year is generated by the County with an estimated four (4) mobilizations annually. Quantities are estimated and may vary due to severe weather conditions or other causes of damage to trees and shrubbery in the county. The County of Georgetown does not guarantee any minimum amounts under this contract. b) Material must be tub ground. Grinding must result in a marketable biomass fuel using grinder screens 6” or smaller. c) Pricing will be based on yard waste, land clearing debris and clean wood, by the ton, and is based on the “scaled in” weight collected, not the finished ton after grinding. The GCSWL truck scales will be used for this purpose. Weight adjustments will be made for material that cannot be ground or chipped by the Contractor. d) Ground material shall be placed in windrows in location designated by staff. The current windrow area is approximately 500 feet from the stockpile of unground materials. e) The majority of the debris material is branches and small yard waste debris. However, there are a minimal number of tree stumps included. Less than 25% of the volume is large material.
