Specifications include, but are not limited to: In November 2022, voters within the Spring ISD community approved an $850 million bond to address the longstanding facility, technology, and safety and security needs of the District. The 9 five-year bond project kicked off immediately and work across the district is projected to continue through 2027. Spring Independent School District (also referred to as “SISD” or “District”) intends to select a General Contractor to serve as Construction Manager-at-Risk to construct, manage, and implement the district-wide HVAC & lighting controls improvements as authorized by the Spring Independent School District. The district will enter into a single agreement with the successful Contractor. The scope of the project shall consist of, but not be limited to 18 campuses for building automation controls upgrade. As part of the required services the selected Construction Manager will provide Pre-Construction phase assistance to the District and its Consultants with the cost estimating and scheduling during the design phase of the work. If it is determined to be in the best interest of the District, the Construction Manager will then construct the project as a Construction Manager-at-Risk. Spring Independent School District will group, phase, expand, or reduce work scope as necessary to serve the best interests of Spring Independent School District. Accordingly, all candidate Construction Managers are advised that they must accept as a condition of their candidacy that initially identified work scopes may at any time be grouped, phased, expanded, or reduced, other than as originally described, at Spring Independent School District’s sole discretion. The project has a combined construction budget of $22,000,000 including contractor fees. IDG+ Architects will be the Architect of record.
