Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project will be funded with 2024 LMIG and SPLOST funds. Construction includes asphalt paving and striping on Jones Mountain Road, Whitestone Road, Town Creek Church Road, Fairview Road, Mt. Calvary Road, Twin Mountain Lake Circle, Talking Rock Road and 3 railroad crossings (Carnes Mill, Whitestone Road, and Old Talking Rock Hwy.) in Pickens County. The work will include approximately 120,605 SY of Asphalt Paving using 10,680 tons of asphalt paving. Paint striping and manhole/valve box adjustments as necessary are specified for all pavement overlay areas. All work shall conform to the Georgia Department of Transportation’s (GDOT) Standard Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, 2023 Edition; GDOT’s Supplemental Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, 2023; and all applicable GDOT Standards and Details; and other contract requirements, specifications and general conditions.
