Specifications include, but are not limited to: Iowa State University IT Services is seeking a backup solution to provide backups of on-premises servers (physical and virtual) and optionally, cloud and distributed cloud services (M365 services). Servers run a mix of Linux(primarily RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu) and Windows as well as some direct file-share backups from third-partyapplications. The backup solution will run on-premises and be hosted in the campus data center.IT Services currently protects ~300 servers comprising ~82 TB and retains those backups for 2 weeks. Counts andsizing for cloud and cloud services can be provided if a bidder offers that capability. Bidders are expected to include professional services for implementation as a part of their bid. Bidders are expected to provide sizing estimates and costs based on the existing 14-day backup retention, as well as a longer30-day backup retention. Estimates should clearly indicate usable capacity as opposed to raw capacity and provide average compression and deduplication ratios achieved for other similar customers.
