Specifications include, but are not limited to: The St. Tammany Parish School Board (STPSB) is requesting a GPS tracking solution for all STPSB owned vehicles and equipment. Our objective is to review, purchase, and have a vendor install a complete software and hardware solution for the St. Tammany Parish Public School System’s vehicle GPS tracking system. The STPSB fleet count is approximately 250 vehicles. This count includes 180 cars, trucks, and vans; and 70 trailers and heavy equipment. STPSB will continue use a Samsara solution to track our bus fleet. The STPSB is seeking a vendor that has broad and demonstrated experience with solutions similar in size to the STPSB. The STPSB invites you to submit a response for solutions that satisfy the specifications in this request. The solution must meet or exceed the following specifications: • Provide specifications on the GPS hardware and detailed installation plan or process. • Location of STPSB vehicles in real time. • Must have the ability to store historical GPS data and produce reports on data gathered. • Ability to overlay GPS data on map. • Capable of tracking the speed of each vehicle and produce a report when needed. • Capable of mileage tracking with reports that can be produced when needed. • The GPS software shall report the statuses of all GPS units on a daily basis and notify the system manager of any malfunction of any unit. • The GPS software shall be able to track vehicles even when the vehicle is out of communication range and save the information until the vehicle is back within communication range. The GPS signal shall be continuous. • Please explain how your device works while the vehicle is off. • Please list and describe accessory compatibility of the proposed solution.
