Specifications include, but are not limited to: d, shown on the Contract Drawings, if applicable, and described in these specifications. The principal items of Work are as follows: a. The maintenance of traffic through the work zone during all construction operations through the use of certified flaggers or police personnel supplied by the Town as necessary. These persons shall coordinate the safe flow of traffic at all times and shall not be a part of the construction operation. All barricades, cones, advanced warning signs, and symbols necessary shall be provided by the contractor. b. Saw cut where necessary prior to demolition of existing sidewalk and to enable placement of a new base for installation of new curb. c. Demolition/removal of the existing sidewalk. d. Preparation of the sidewalk and curb subbase and base prior to sidewalk and curb construction. e. Placement of concrete curbing and bituminous asphalt sidewalk at the specified thickness and widths to form a five (5) foot wide walking surface or driveway entrance, where indicated on the plans or directed by the engineer. (Sidewalk width, unless otherwise noted, is to NOT include curb width)
