Specifications include, but are not limited to: Bus to transport Pep Band to basketball conference tournament in Huntsville, AL. Early morning departure from MTSU is estimated to be 3/12/24 or 3/13/24. Return is based on tournament outcome which can be as late as 3/17/24. Pep band will require daily local vicinity driving. 1. Amount of days are not known due to this being a tournament. University does not guarantee any number of days for charter bus rental. 2. Bus Description and Accessories. Successful bidder will assure: -accommodate a minimum of 56 passengers -be 2014 or newer -have fully working wireless internet access and outlets, satellite preferable. -have electrical outlets on both sides of the bus for computer use -be equipped with a fully functional DVD player and all overhead TVs fully functional as well -working and well maintained air conditioning/heating unit -working, clean, and well maintained on board restroom(s) -Buses to be equipped with functional emergency exits and clean underneath storage; 3. Company Requirements - Successful bidder will assure: -The bus driver's contact information must be provided to the MTSU Band Secretary at least three (3) days prior to the scheduled pick-up date. -The driver's 24 hour reliable cell phone contact information must be provided. -Company service representative's 24 hour reliable cell phone contact information must be provided. -Radio/cell phone communication between drivers. -The bus driver must have directions to the predetermined location. -All drivers must be professional and experienced. -Driver must be receptive to college age students. -No fueling while team is on board. -Bus and driver will remain with the band at all times, from pickup until return and be available to transport band for meals. -Successful bidder agrees to contact MTSU Band Secretary (615)898-5583 immediately upon any expected delays. -Awarded supplier will be provided with specific itinerary -Bus must be on-time and ready to load at spot time. -Bus must allow for food and drinks with lids on board.
