Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Ames is replacing (4) snowplow dump trucks in the Public Works Department. These trucks are primarily used for street and water utility maintenance activities as well as snow removal and ice control. The following specifications are to solicit bids from qualified vendors for the acquisition of (4) completed new trucks. Chassis and all materials and labor required to provide the complete trucks are to be included in the bid amount. Specifications for four (4) tandem axle 6x4 chassis with cab, and following core items to be mounted and controlled include: – Optimus Technologies, Inc., Vector Fuel Management Systems – New Stainless-Steel 15’ Dump Bodies – Snow Removal Equipment and Mounting Provisions – New Force America Hydraulic Control Systems All (4) trucks are to be upfitted with identical components and control systems unless otherwise indicated.
