Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Human Services (DHS), Benefit, Employment and Support Services Division (BESSD) is requesting the services of an Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) vendor to perform objective assessments of the design, development/configuration and implementation of DHS/BESSD’s Hawaii Automated Network for Assistance (HANA) System Modernization Project. DHS understands the importance of an independent third party that can provide insight to project and system risks and issues, as well as support in the identification of mitigation strategies to lessen or remove the impact of the identified risks / issues. In addition, DHS values the IV&V effort as a mechanism to report project progress to other State stakeholders.
