Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of the proposed action is to repair or replace a damaged and/or deteriorating section of sanitary sewer line section of the Wagoner County Trunk Line, a component of the City of Broken Arrow’s sanitary sewer collection system. The need for the proposed action is to prevent structural failures and restrictions that could result in sanitary sewer overflows or backup. Capacity enhancements are included in the replacement of the deteriorated interceptor in order to convey additional flow to the wastewater treatment plant as future development occurs. • Alternative 1 – Open cut construction of a parallel alignment offset 15 to 20-feet to the northwest of the existing alignment. This alternative included a new 42-inch steel casing under the railway right-of-way and the abandonment of existing alignment. • Alternative 2 – Pipe bursting most of the existing alignment, a reroute along the downstream and upstream portion of the project, and installing a new 42-inch steel casing under the railway right-of-way. • Alternative 3 – A hybrid alternative consisting of open cut construction paralleling most of the existing alignment 15 to 20 feet to the northwest, reusing the existing 36-inch casing, and replacing in place the final segment upstream of the railroad crossing.
