Comply with State DNR Publication (PUB-CF-005 2014) titled “Bridge Guidelines for New and Replacement Snowmobile and All-Terrain Vehicle Bridges”. Have the following minimum DIMENSIONS AND LOADINGS: A. Bridge Dimensions: 1. Bridge length = 20’ measured from end to end of deck. 2. Clear bridge width = 12’ as measured between inside faces of railing. 3. Approach Ramps = 10’ ramps to accommodate the 2’ rise in elevation; B. Maximum bridge grade allowed shall be 10%. C. Bridges with glue-laminated stringers shall be cambered 1% of bridge length plus 100% of the full dead load deflection. D. All dead loads, applied dead loads, live loads, and wind loads as specified in the AASHTO specification. E. Live loads: a. 85 psf pedestrian load. b. Applied separate from to pedestrian load, AASHTO Standard H-Truck with a 25,000 LB. GVW positioned to produce the maximum load effect. c. Point Load = 1000 lbs plus 33% impact, applied at a single point. d. Lateral Wind Load = 35 psf on the full height of the bridge as if enclosed. e.
