Specifications include, but are not limited to: The work covered under this solicitation shall consist of the labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to: Remove existing tile and adhesive, disposal, polish, stain and finish approximately 2,900 square feet of concrete floor in the Visitor Center at Lake Vermilion/Soudan Underground Mine State Park. - Remove and dispose of approximately 2,900 SF of 12x12 VC tile and adhesive. - Remove any loose floor filler from cracks/holes and install floor filler in any cracks wider than 3/16”. - The floor filler must be compatible with stain and floor sealer. If there is existing crack filler that is not compatible with stain of finish, the contractor will replace the crack filler. - Polish concrete to a 400-grit sheen. - Apply an earth tone concrete stain to create a natural patina. Contractor will provide color samples and polish a color sample area in a closet or mechanical room. - Apply IMPACT urethane concrete sealer with Fine Ultra Grip or UDT aggregate #240 from Ultra Durable Technologies, or approved equal, to achieve a “level 2” satin finish per manufacture specifications. Contractor to submit product specification sheet to the DNR Project Manager for approval at least 7 days prior to application. - The contractor is responsible for disposing of any their own waste and/or construction debris.
