Specifications include, but are not limited to: Renovation of the Jodsaas Science Building’s Level 2 involves transforming 18,000 square feet of space into state-of-the-art high fidelity simulation and healthcare support areas replicating real-world professional environments for students. These simulation spaces encompass a range of facilities, including a nursing skills lab (low fidelity), medical/surgical rooms, a versatile simulation room for trauma/EMR/CPR simulation, a home skills lab, and a dental simulation lab. Incorporating control rooms and recording capabilities, students will receive “just-in-time” feedback and guidance to improve their skills. Furthermore, the project encompasses the creation of an assessment lab for exercise science, featuring an anatomage table employing cutting-edge digital anatomy technology and a versatile wellness classroom. Additionally, designated debriefing rooms will be established. To accommodate these improvements, faculty workspace will transition to an open workspace concept. Corridor space will be enhanced with open study spaces and restroom facilities will receive upgrades to align with code and accessibility requirements.
