Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Minnesota Department of Human Services, through its Child Care Services Division (STATE), is seeking Proposals from qualified Responders to support families experiencing homelessness as they apply for and maintain eligibility in child care through the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP). The purpose of Child Care Access Grants is to assist families with the child care assistance application and maintain their CCAP eligibility. Previously, CCAP families experiencing homelessness had the same requirements as other CCAP families. Due to policy updates, the living conditions section of the child care assistance application has been revised. Now, if a family identifies as experiencing homelessness, CCAP agencies and counties must process applications within five business days of receiving the application, prior to any submission of verifications. CCAP families experiencing homelessness are exempt from activity requirements for three months to allow the family to pursue housing goals or meet other basic needs.
