Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Rochester requires consultant services to perform a preliminary assessment of zero emission bus deployment opportunities in consideration of our service, fleet, and facility characteristics. The Rochester Public Transit (RPT) Zero Emission Bus Transition Plan will identify short (2024-2027), medium (2028-2032) and long (beyond 2032) term opportunities, risks, and implementation strategies to transition our bus fleet to zero emission technology. The first task in developing the transition plan is to complete an assessment of RPT’s service, fleet, and facilities to identify criteria and a strategic framework to transition to zero emission vehicles. Criteria should consider factors such as technology reliability, vehicle range, emissions reduction, equity, environmental justice, ease of transition, capital cost, lifecycle cost, and other implementation drivers. Projects should be prioritized for implementation which provide environmental benefits with limited risk to service and operations utilizing existing technologies.
