Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall supply all materials, equipment, and labor to transport and reuse and/or dispose of anaerobically digested Biosolids from the 91st and 23rd Avenue Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP). The City will supply the loader and personnel to fill trucks at the drying beds for transport to the land applications. On occasion, at the discretion of the City, the Contractor may be required to supply loader and personnel to load haul trucks at the drying beds. The Contractor shall provide watertight trucks to haul biosolids from the following locations: 3.1.1. 91st Avenue WWTP: a. From the SHF hoppers to the land applications. b. From the Solids Handling Facility (SHF) hoppers to the drying beds. c. From the drying beds to land applications. d. The digester cleanings to the landfill specified by the City. 3.1.2. 23rd Avenue WWTP: a. From the SHF hoppers to the land applications. In all cases, before each load, the Contractor will weigh their truck empty then weigh it again after filling the truck with biosolid, before transporting the biosolids to any of the transfer locations. The Contractor shall remove the biosolids from the SHF hopper daily to prevent the hoppers filling to the maximum capacity. In case of emergency, the Contractor may be required to haul biosolids directly to the landfill from any of the loading locations. b. Contractor will provide the land, or areas for storage or further processing of Biosolids as outlined in this contract. Storage on City property is not allowed. c. The Contractor is wholly responsible for the removal of Biosolids from the treatment sites. d. The Contractor may subcontract only the Biosolids hauling services portion of this Contract. Other than the Biosolids hauling services portion the contractor shall not sub-contract any other part of the contract to third parties or subcontractors once the contract is awarded. e. The Contractor shall not change hauling subcontractors without prior written approval from the City.
