Specifications include, but are not limited to: The design for Phase 1 shall consist of the following: • Overpass at MP 65.97 • Underpass at MP 67.55 in the San Jose Arroyo The design for Phase 2 shall consist of the following: • Overpass at MP 70.28 • Underpass at MP 71.81 The design of fencing, cattle guards and other appurtenances needed to encourage wildlife to utilize these crossings shall be included in this work. The scoping report includes the extents of the recommended fencing along US 550, NM 96, and side roads, as well as the location of the recommended double cattle guard on NM 96. The scoping report identifies Phases 3, 4, and 5 for crossings at additional locations along US 550. NMDOT may elect to negotiate a fixed price for Phase I-D, Phase II, and Phase III for the Bridge and Roadway Design and all associated work, by Contract Amendment or elect to pursue a new RFP for Phases 3 and 4 in the scoping report.
