Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) General Pest Control Services. Awarded Bidder shall provide General Pest Control Services to City facilities which includes, but is not limited to the pests idenitifed in Part 3, A, 7 of this RFB. Awarded Bidder shall assess and propose a treatment to ensure eradication of pests with each city department that requests a quote and whether it is the application of pesticides, traps, glue boards, or other methods. 2) Additional Pest Control Services. Awarded Bidder shall provide Additional Pest Control Services upon request by the City. The Awarded Bidder shall quote these services on a case-by-case basis and at the rates provided in the bid pricing in the resulting contract: a) Bed Bug Services - Bed Bug treatments (including emergency treatments) shall include a 30-day treatment guarantee that ensures bed bugs will not return within that period. Reapplication shall be completed within 14 days of initial treatment. If the City observes additional bed bugs within that time frame, the Awarded Bidder shall respond within two (2) days to assess and re-treat the area of the initial treatment, and the 30-day period shall restart at the completion of the re-treatment. b) Bees and Wasps – When possible, honey bees shall be removed humanely and relocated c) Termite Control d) Fogging/Bombing (Fumigation) Ticks and Fleas – Yard Spray e) German Roach Clean Out – To include flushing of infected areas, a baiting program is to be completed twice per week until the problem is resolved and monitored for the onset of roaches. f) Gopher/Prairie Dog Removal – Shall follow the guidance from the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) providing a humane removal. g) Pigeon Control Shall follow the guidance from the AVMA in humane removal. h) Pigeon Dropping Removal and Deodorizing 3) Emergency Pest Control Services a) The City may require emergency services for bed bug treatments and other services as identified in the Additional Pest Control Services Section 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. b) In the event of an emergency, the City may proceed with a purchase to resolve the immediate problem without first obtaining a purchase order. Long-term solutions are not authorized. As soon as is possible following the event, the City Department shall enter an emergency justification form, emergency purchase requisition, and any supporting documentation so a purchase order can be generated. Awarded Bidders shall include the full purchase order number on invoices prior to submitting them to accounts payable.
