Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Be an organizational applicant (non-profit organization, registered business or governmental entity) that possesses, or assign staff who possesses, a license to practice Therapy, Social Work or Counseling (ex. LMFT, LCSW, etc.) • Have demonstrated the ability to directly support clients with the use of the trauma informed approach as best practice within substance abuse and mental health services when they plan, implement, and monitor client progress and treatment. • Have experience working with veterans and an understanding of local resources available to help veterans receive mental health and substance abuse treatment. • Have the ability to not only collaborate with community-based service providers, but also work collaboratively with a “non-treatment” program/team. Provider is expected to link participants to local veteran’s resources including mental health and substance abuse treatment. • Provide feedback to the Court on an ongoing basis to promote continuous quality improvement and make recommendations for data informed policy changes. This includes delivering program evaluation reports to Tucson City Court within timeframes to be specified by the court. • Providers are required to attend staffing meetings every other Monday. Attendance can be via TEAMS. RMVTC court sessions are held every other week : Tuesday- Afternoons, Wednesday – All Day. Providers are expected to provide therapeutic input at these sessions. While these updates are preferred to be in person, the use of TEAMs is also acceptable. • Provide support and education to veterans on treatment process and expectations. • Provide short-term psychotherapy to veterans when appropriate • Each program participant must be evaluated by the provider for eligibility of VA benefits, Medicaid benefits, private insurance coverage, AHCCCS, or any other medical benefits. The grant should be the last source of payment for services after all other sources of payment have been exhausted. Providers must utilize third party reimbursements and other revenue realized from the provision of services to the extent possible and use SAMHSA funds only for services to individuals who are not covered by public or commercial health insurance programs, individuals for whom coverage have been formally determined to be unaffordable, or for services that are not sufficiently covered by an individual’s health insurance plan. Provide acknowledgement of this requirement in proposal.
