Specifications include, but are not limited to: San Juan County desires to obtain Requests for Proposals (RFP) for an architect firm experienced in modern public safety building remodels and design to provide architectural services. San Juan County desires to obtain Requests for Proposals (RFP) for an architect firm experienced in modern public safety building remodels and design to provide architectural services for the design and construction administration of a Public Safety Building Remodel and Expansion project located in Monticello, Utah at 297 South Main Street. It is the intention of San Juan County to contract with a qualified Architectural firm to provide five sequential design phases for the remodel to include: Schematic Design, Design Development, Pricing, Construction Documents and overall Construction Administration. The successful firm or individual is also expected to provide the County with assistance in developing the full scope of the construction program and project. The preliminary scope of the Project includes the remodel of the 1988 Public Safety building which is a twostory, 38,791 square foot building, comprised of the Jail, Sheriff Administrative Offices, County Courts, State District and Juvenile Courts, and the Attorney’s Offices. The scope includes particular attention given to multiuse existing spaces that will provide technological and functional flexibility. Proposing firms are expected to evaluate existing building systems including the jail system in order to establish a Project Program, which may include a needs assessment continuing the Feasibility Study performed by AJC Architects P.C. and project priority list to be mutually developed with the County’s Design Team.
