Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) intends to renew an agreement with LeadingAge for up to 12 months to provide professional consultation, education, and resources to its members on a state and national level. LeadingAge is a senior health care/residential care professional association. Membership will provide the MN Department of Veterans’ Affairs Health Care Division with ongoing professional education and development opportunities in a variety of topic areas – clinical, administrative, financial, and regulatory. MN Veterans Homes have belonged to Leading Age since 1994, and have developed strong relationships that ensure accurate, up-to-date senior health care is integrated into daily operations. MDVA has determined that LeadingAge is the only commercially reasonably available commodity product to provide these services. This is deemed a single source purchase because LeadingAge MN is the only professional association that represents Minnesota’s Adult Day Healthcare programs, which the MN Veteran’s Home has adopted as its operating model. No other professional associations or vendors offer this unique service.
