Specifications include, but are not limited to: Phase 1: The Contractor may complete all the proposed construction work on W Highland Boulevard prior to working on W Fletcher Avenue. Westbound lanes on W Highland Boulevard may be closed during construction as long as access is maintained per these special provisions. Phase 2: Upon completion of phase 1 construction, the Contractor may start construction on the W Fletcher Avenue. The Contractor shall complete the proposed work on W Fletcher Avenue from NW 12th Street through the intersection of NW 7 th Street within the designated contract timeline indicated within these special provisions. This timeline has been established to avoid interference with Fredstrom Elementary. The other segment of W Fletcher Avenue from the east side of NW 7th Street to W Fletcher Avenue may be completed at any time prior to the final completion deadline. The Contractor will need to phase the roadway closure during construction between NW 4th Street and W Fletcher Avenue to maintain a single westbound lane during construction to ensure access to NW 4th Street for the StarTran ‘Gaslight Route 52’ relocated bus temporary route along W Beal Street. Any restrictions to access shall be coordinated with the City’s Project Manager. Access for emergency vehicles and businesses shall be maintained at all times.
